Everything is connected within you and around you. Energy can be moved through and beyond the body in a multitude of ways. Vibrational medicine is a science of practices that shift energy through the channels of the body. Many vibrational medicine practices are ancient healing modalities.

The medical dictionary define vibrational medicine as:

“any form of alternative healthcare that attempts to alter factors in a client which cause disharmony in the flow of vital energy. The goal in vibrational medicine is to move, unblock or balance life energy over the physical, energetic and spiritual body.

Examples Include:

Acupressure, acupuncture, aromatherapy, Bach flower remedies, chakra therapy, color therapy, crystal therapy, gem therapy, healing, homeopathy, polarity, psychic surgery, Reiki, reflexology, therapeutic touch, toning.”

At Jax, we believe that in addition to all of these beautiful healing modalities - all movement is healing medicine. Moving the body moves energy through the self and throughout the room. It’s palpable.

Not only do movement and breathing practices move energy, these practices also increase levels of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine in the brain. Even if you don’t buy the alternative ideas about human energy, it’s scientifically undeniable that moving the body helps regulate neurotransmitter levels in the brain - which undoubtedly helps us feel better mentally.

Some days, a focused and controlled yoga practice helps calm and steady the mind. Other days, deep breath work is most helpful for moving energy through the body and calming the mind. Other days, some booty shaking, sweat dripping dance moves are what we crave to get back into balance. Sometimes, outside help from bodywork, energy work, or sound healing are needed to bring the body back to its natural rhythms.

As we expand the calming and restorative haven that has been Jax Yoga as you know it these last 4 years into the Jax Wellness Collective, everything we do will continue be rooted in the 8 limbed path of yoga. We will remain true to our manifesto that everyone deserves to feel good in their own minds and bodies.

And, we are bringing you even more ways to experience vibrational healing in hopes that movement, self love, and a deeper mind body connection will guide even more people back home to themselves.
